Thank you to North Valley Hospital, Columbia County Health System and Olympic Medical Center for hosting our 2026 Rural Regional Roundtables. Your hospitality, generosity and leadership helped make the roundtables a meaningful and productive experience.
We appreciate the time and effort participants made to travel, meet face-to-face, provide facility tours and share their organizations’ impactful work. These conversations offered valuable perspectives on complex discharges, workplace violence prevention and substance use disorder care from both personal and professional lenses.
Bringing rural healthcare leaders face-to-face creates space for conversations, relationship-building and exchanging of ideas and experiences. The willingness of participants to share successes, challenges, lessons learned and innovative approaches fosters an environment where everyone can learn from one another and strengthen their efforts to serve patients and communities.
It was inspiring to hear how hospitals are meeting patients where they are, delivering care without judgment and remaining committed to improving outcomes. The dedication, innovation and passion demonstrated reinforces the critical role of rural healthcare in their communities.
We are grateful for your participation and look forward to learning from one another as we work to improve care and outcomes across our communities. If you are interested in hosting a regional roundtable next year, please contact me at [email protected]. (Tracy Wellington)
