Community-based organizations can apply now for up to $10,000 in funding from the Washington Health Benefit Exchange to support outreach during the 2027 Washington Healthplanfinder open enrollment period. Applications are due Sept. 1. Interested organizations should contact the Exchange Lead Organization serving their county, using the contact information below, to apply.
The funding is intended to help community-based organizations (CBOs) connect people with trusted information about health and dental coverage options and savings available through Washington Healthplanfinder. Open enrollment for 2027 coverage runs Nov. 1, 2026, through Jan. 15, 2027.
Funding awards of up to $10,000 will be based on the level of outreach activities proposed and available funding. Eligible activities may include social media outreach, distributing printed materials, tabling at community events, hosting information sessions and creating short educational videos. Outreach should be culturally appropriate and available in the languages and formats that best support the communities being served.
Priority will be given to CBOs that serve:
- Communities at risk of being uninsured or losing coverage due to recent federal directives.
- Populations that face barriers to accessing health insurance, including people with limited-English proficiency.
- Communities not currently being reached through existing Exchange marketing and outreach channels.
How to apply
Applications are being accepted Aug. 10 through Sept. 1, 2026. The Exchange’s Lead Organization partners will manage the application and selection process. CBOs should contact the Lead Organization serving the county in which they operate:

Participating CBOs will have access to health literacy and outreach materials, translation assistance and information about coverage options. Lead Organizations can also connect community members with navigators who can assist with enrollment and may be able to provide navigators for outreach events.
