Washington State needs more trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs), which is even more true in rural areas where access to this specialized type of patient care can support a survivor’s recovery from the traumatic experience of sexual assault in often under-resourced rural communities.

The Washington Center for Nursing (WCN) encourages all interested nurses to apply to become a SANE. The need is especially great for diverse and rural SANE-qualified nurses across our state.
