Recovery is possible, and hospitals can play a powerful role in helping patients begin that journey. A new recovery story video shares the experience of Nokey, who once came to his local emergency department seeking care while struggling with substance use disorder. Today, he works alongside that same hospital’s care team as a recovery coach, helping connect patients with treatment, resources and hope.

The video is one part of a growing collection of tools available to support hospitals, care teams, patients and families affected by substance use disorder. Multiple versions are available, with tailored calls to action for hospital and community audiences.

The accompanying resource library includes guidance on integrating recovery coaches, emergency department treatment, person-centered language and patient education materials, giving hospitals practical resources to strengthen compassionate, evidence-based care while helping more patients access recovery.
