A big thank you to members who answered the call this week to ask their member of Congress to sign-on to a letter in support of loans for nurses and physician’s assistants.
Federal rulemaking happening now will significantly limit the amount of student loans advanced practiced nursing and physician assistant students can access to fund their degrees. A letter to the Department of Education is being circulated in Congress asking that key health professions be included on the list of professional degrees eligible for student loans.
Six members of the delegation have signed the letter so far. If you have not yet had time to ask your member to add their name to the letter, you can email them now through WSHA’s advocacy action center.
