Estimate your clean building incentives with new Tier 1 estimator

Building owners have a new way to plan for Clean Buildings Performance Standard using the Tier 1 incentives estimator.

The tool makes it easier to see what incentive payments you could qualify for, helping you make informed decisions about energy improvements. It takes into account your building size, current energy use, target energy use, expected savings and the total cost of upgrades.

In 2024, the Department of Commerce was given the green light to increase incentives for eligible Tier 1 buildings to encourage more participation in the Early Adopter Incentive Program.

Now, qualified building owners can receive:

• $2 per square foot of conditioned space
• Five cents per kBTU saved beyond the first 15-point drop in Energy Use Intensity (EUI).
