Swedish nearing $1 billion of community benefit in 5 years

Seattle-based Swedish Health Services released its 2017 Community Benefit Report in June, detailing the more than $200 million in community benefit it provided for the year. This included $23.9 million in free and discounted care, marking a 12 percent increase from 2016. Review shows family practice physician compensation continuing to rise

Family practice physicians topped the list of most requested recruiting assignments for the 12th consecutive year, according to Merritt Hawkins’ 2018 Review of Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruiting Incentives. Lake Chelan Community Hospital partners for rural residency program

Like many rural communities, Chelan is facing a shortage of providers to care for residents. To address this, Lake Chelan Community Hospital & Clinics will partner with the University of Washington and Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) to offer a rural residency program in town.
