WSHA to recognize hospital and health care leaders at 2022 Leadership Summit

May 6, 2022

The 2022 WSHA Leadership Summit is fast approaching, May 15–17! This event is a valuable opportunity to connect with health care leaders, trustees and commissioners over educational content and social networking. Participants are welcome to join either in-person in Walla Walla, WA, or virtually via simulcast.

In a reflection of the Summit agenda, which includes sessions on leading a culture of safety, health equity and patient advocacy, WSHA will present member awards that recognize Washington hospitals and health care leaders for patient safety improvement projects and dedication to health care advocacy.

The WSHA Rural Quality Everyday Extraordinary Award recognizes a rural hospital team that has shown commitment to quality through a recent quality improvement project. The award judges score nominated projects across five categories: significance, data-driven approach, culture of safety, results and scalability. In addition to the award recipient, we will highlight all 2022 nominated hospital teams. Despite the challenges of high-acuity patients, changing guidelines and staffing shortages, each team demonstrated an unwavering commitment to continuous quality improvement by implementing new projects in the middle of a global pandemic.

The Summit will also include the announcement of the Most Valuable PAC Players for 2021. Given by the Hospitals for a Healthy Future PAC and the American Hospital Association PAC, this award recognizes health care leaders for their advocacy and support for strong legislative health care champions at the local and federal levels. Despite the financial challenges of the pandemic, both recipients of this year’s awards exceeded their PAC goals with impressive participation from board members and hospital leaders.

Hospital leadership and board members are invited to join us in honoring your peers, collaborating over educational content and more at the 2022 Leadership Summit. Registration is still available for virtual attendance here.

The generous support of our Member Engagement Partners makes this event possible.
