WSHA is very excited to partner with local and national experts in glycemic control for a new glycemic control program! We are partnering with:
- Thérèse Franco — a hospitalist at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and the Inpatient Glycemic Control Team lead.
- Kristi Kulasa — the Director of Inpatient Glycemic Control at the University of California, San Diego, who oversees the Clinical Diabetes Nurse Educators and leads the inpatient Glycemic Control Committee for her hospital.
WSHA is recruiting six highly motivated hospital teams (action teams) to participate in glycemic control implementation coaching with these experts by May 20. These action teams will receive individualized, dedicated coaching to accelerate adoption and troubleshoot implementation challenges. There will be an event on June 21 as well as coaching calls available to action teams. Safe and effective glycemic control is a critical component of quality patient care at your hospital, and we are excited to offer you this unique program in partnership with physician experts.
