The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) and Washington Health Alliance recently appointed Ian Corbridge — WSHA policy director, clinical issues — to its Performance Measures Coordinating Committee (PMCC). As a member of the PMCC, Ian will represent WSHA and work to ensure the core measures set reflect the type of metrics necessary to support the transition to value-based purchasing in both the hospital and outpatient care settings.
The PMCC was established in 2014 through HB 2572, a law relating to improving the effectiveness of health care purchasing and transforming the health care delivery system. Read more about the performance measures and the committee here. (Claudia Sanders)
