WSHA Comments on CMS Outpatient Rule

October 5, WSHA submitted its final comments on the 2021 CMS Proposed Outpatient Prospective Payment System and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) rule. The comment letter is an expanded version of the draft made available to members earlier. In its comments, WSHA opposed the proposal to eliminate the inpatient-only list and expand the ASC covered procedures list. It also opposed the proposal to further reduce 340B payments to hospitals to a net rate of ASP minus 28.7 percent, and opposed CMS’s continuation of site-neutral reductions to grandfathered hospital clinics.
