The Starts with One campaign resources are designed to help hospitals talk with patients about responsible opioid use and safe storage and disposal. Hospitals play a major role in reducing opioid-related harm, and this webinar will highlight ways your hospital can participate. Register here.

This webinar will review:

  • Materials available through the Starts with One campaign to educate patients about responsible opioid use and safe storage and disposal.
  • Future opportunities to engage with this campaign, including opportunities to give feedback on future materials.
  • How your organization can get involved in National Drug Take Back Day events in your communities.
  • How to request a safe medication disposal kiosk for your hospital pharmacy.

Starts with One is a prescription opioid misuse prevention campaign led by HCA and supported by WSHA. Preventing opioid-related harm is a major area of focus for WSHA and is in line with the priorities set by the WSHA Safety and Quality Governing Board. The campaign created customized materials to support providers who are key leaders in preventing opioid misuse. (Brittany Weiner)
