Seattle Children’s seeking feedback on pediatric mental health hotline for emergency departments

August 30, 2023

Seattle Children’s is seeking feedback from emergency department providers across the state on its recently created Telemedicine Extension for Adolescent and Child Mental Health Boarders (TEAM B) program. The program is a hotline for emergency department providers to address the growing needs of youth who present to emergency departments in mental health crisis. The TEAM B program is in its final phase of planning, and it is during this phase program leaders hope to obtain feedback. WSHA encourages you to respond to their survey.

The program will provide clinical consultation and resource assistance to emergency department providers across the state from psychiatric providers, mental health and community resource specialists, and behavioral support providers. It aims to assist with potential diversion efforts through psychiatric consultation and the provision of community-based resources. If you have questions or want to learn more, please contact teamb@seattlechildrens.org. (Brittany Weiner)
