On Monday, Airlift Northwest replaced its AeroCommander turboprop plane with the Pilatus PC-12 turboprop. The company is an entity of UW Medicine.

Northwest MedStar is integrating its critical care transport program into Life Flight Network. Life Flight Network will open new helicopter bases in Colville and Walla Walla, and add a fixed-wing aircraft to an existing base in Moses Lake.

Doctors at Seattle Children’s Hospital used medical-grade superglue to help remove a mass of veins in a young patient’s leg that had caused pain in even the smallest movements.

Teen is state’s volunteer service award recipient
PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center launched a music therapy program in its neonatal intensive care unit in December. The program’s first year was funded by local high school students who raised more than $130,000.

Volunteers help power Providence Centralia Hospital
Including volunteers at events, Providence Centralia has about 170 volunteers each year. At any time, the hospital averages about 50 volunteers in 13 departments. Some volunteers are fairly new to the hospital, others have volunteered for 20 years.
