Washington Hospital Services (WHS) offers pre-survey inspection services to help hospitals and clinics prepare for Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, Washington State Department of Health, DNV and joint commission surveys. Through trusted partnerships and collaboration with our hospital members, we offer education, subject matter expertise and data support.
WHS pre-survey inspections are conducted in a “mock survey” format and conducted by qualified staff and/or contractors to assess readiness in the areas of clinical quality, infection prevention and environment of care.
Visits Include:
- A pre-visit call to discuss your hospital’s/clinic’s particular needs.
- Briefing of all leadership staff on the goals and objectives of the pre-survey inspection.
- Inspection of your facility.
- A post-inspection debriefing of management staff on inspection findings, including recommended solutions for areas “at risk” for potential citations or findings.
- A written summary (within one week of visit) from one of our inspection team members listing inspection findings and general comments.
- A post-visit call with hospital/clinic leadership (30 days after visit) to address any additional questions or needs you might have.
