New resource for managing pharmaceutical waste

WSHA Industry Partner Stericycle recently shared guidelines to help health care organizations create a strategy for effective management of pharmaceutical waste. Stericycle outlines four steps hospitals should take into consideration: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA regulations), how your RCRA waste is characterized, how waste is segregated, and the requirements of other regulating bodies, like the DEA and OSHA.
