May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We would like to invite you to raise awareness of the importance of mental health care and join us for this month’s WSHA Behavioral Health Webinar, What is Mental Health First Aid? Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use disorders. The webinar takes place from 12 – 1 p.m., May 19. It will provide an overview of mental health first aid and its application in health care settings. Participants will learn about the Mental Health First Aid five-step action plan to assist and support individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis and explore how to apply action plan steps using a case example. Please view the WSHA website for more information or register here.
