According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1-in-5 US adults reported their mental health being impacted negatively by the pandemic and 4.9 million people are unable to access the care needed. Mental Health Awareness Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness of issues and resources around the topic. A number of organizations have developed toolkits that hospitals can use, including:
