Kicking off the legislative session

January 5, 2017

What better way to start the New Year than with a legislative session preview webcast!?

Next Tuesday at noon we will host our annual legislative kickoff webcast. This is a great opportunity to close the office door, have a sandwich and get your questions about the session answered. Not all questions — we don’t have a crystal ball — but we will talk about the political dynamics, our top priorities and how WSHA members can help tell the story.

Click here to register and get connection or call-in information.

At the heart of everything we do this year is improving people’s access to high-quality care. With the federal discussion focused on repeal of the 2010 Affordable Care Act, we’ll talk about how we see that working for Washington patients, hospitals and communities. But the threat of losing coverage for 700,000 people is real, and the risks for communities are serious.

Oh, and then there is the whole state legislative session to talk about too! So please join our webcast, read about our priorities for the upcoming session and bring your questions. There’s a lot at stake and your engagement is crucial. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to call me at 206-216-2506 or email me at chrisb@wsha.org.
Sincerely,
Chris Bandoli
