The intent of the 2021 International Infection Prevention Week (Oct. 17-23) is to highlight the science behind infection prevention and inspire the next generation of infection preventionists (IPs) to join the fight.
No other time have we seen the value of infection prevention be so apparent. COVID-19 has shown the world the importance of infection prevention and control and the role that IPs have in keeping our patients, health care workers and communities safe. APIC and others have put together free resources to download and use to heighten awareness of IPs and that everyone has a role in infection prevention.
