The Washington Health Benefit Exchange is gearing up for the next open enrollment period, which begins Nov. 1 and runs through the end of January. It has selected nine organizations to offer in-person customer support across the state.
In September, the exchange also transitioned from accepting payments for premiums in favor of having customers pay insurers directly. There will be 136 different insurance plans for sale during open enrollment, plus eight pediatric dental plans. (Tim Pfarr)
