Last Thursday, the Health Care Authority announced the “apparently successful bidders”. Medicaid managed care plans to provide integrated managed care for each of the state’s procurement regions, subject to completing the contracting process. The state is scheduled to complete the transition to integrated physical health and behavioral health services by January 2020. We recommend hospitals and providers review the changes and the transition dates to be aware of potential network and health plan changes for your region.
Molina and Amerigroup are apparently successful bidders for all nine procurement regions, United Health Care for six and Community Health Plan and Coordinated Care for five regions each. (Andrew Busz, andrewb@wsha.org).
