The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) will hold a Trauma Designation Rules Workshop from 9-11 a.m. Sept. 27 via Microsoft Teams. The workshop is open to anyone interested in providing feedback on DOH’s proposed draft rule language. The draft language, which can be reviewed here, amends the rules to establish clear requirements and criteria for assessing needs for trauma centers and determining minimum and maximum hospital and health care facilities in the state. More information is available in the rulemaking notice and you can click here to join the workshop on Sept. 27.
Questions about this rulemaking may be sent to Dolly Fernandes dolly.fernandes@doh.wa.gov or Tim Orcutt at tim.orcutt@doh.wa.gov. You may submit rules comments to the Trauma Designation Program rules comments inbox at traumadesignation@doh.wa.gov. (Zosia Stanley)
