WSHA is working to address the difficulty many hospitals face in finding post-hospital placement for patients who have completed their acute care hospital stay. WSHA is in active conversation with the Health Care Authority (HCA), Department of Health, and Department of Health and Human Services. HCA has asked that hospitals contact HCA directly if they experience difficulty finding post-acute placement for Medicaid patients. Here is the contact information:
