While in college 10 years ago, Ben Nemtin — who would become a #1 New York Times bestselling author and star of MTV’s The Buried Life — was fed up with the monotony of day-to-day life. He and his friends set out on a two-week road trip with a camera and a borrowed RV to complete a list of “100 things to do before you die.” For each item they accomplished on their list, they helped a complete stranger cross something off their own list
Since then, Ben and his friends have crossed off nearly all of their 100 items and have encouraged millions to believe that anyone can do anything. Ben is currently working on a documentary as part of his quest, and he will deliver a plenary session at this year’s Rural Hospital Leadership Conference in Chelan on Tuesday, June 26.
Ben’s bucket list quest has brought him to the White House to play basketball with President Obama (#95), to Oprah’s couch (#61) and to London to have a beer with Prince Harry (#82). His film, The Buried Life feature documentary, was #91 on his list and is due out later this year. Learn more and register for this year’s conference. (Ashley Beil)
