In response to feedback from members, WSHA has made several significant changes to the structure of our training events in 2019.
New name: WSHA has rebranded our training events as “Learning Collaboratives” to reflect aim of coming together to improve safety and quality at a regional level. The “Safe Table” name will be used solely for specific events that may share sensitive information and fall under Washington’s Coordinated Quality Improvement Program (CQIP) designation.
Webinars: Learning Collaborative webinars will be offered at a standard time every week, to allow you to better plan. If you regularly participate, we recommend putting a soft hold on your calendars for Tuesdays at 11am PST. Typically, topics will be announced, and registration will open several months in advance and we will be sending details via a bimonthly email summary in lieu of individual webinar invitations. Please contact Cindy Ferguson at cindyf@wsha.org if you would like to be added to the distribution list for these communications. Note: additional webinars may be scheduled on other days, however the time will remain at 11:00
In-Person Learning Collaboratives: We recognize that it is difficult to block time to be out of the office. We’re reducing the frequency of our in-person trainings and creating “Safety and Quality Symposiums”—larger, “conference-style” trainings several times a year that will feature keynotes of general interest and topic-specific breakouts. Save the date for the first one on March 21, 2019 in the SeaTac area!
Boot Camps: WSHA will also host more Boot Camps, featuring hands-on learning for small groups around a topic. These will usually take place at the WSHA office in downtown Seattle.
Learning Management System: WSHA is in the process of adding a learning management system to our website. This will provide an easier way for members to access recorded trainings as well as other information. Keep an eye out for the new system to be available in Q1 of 2019!
OB Roadmap: Finally, amidst all these changes, the OB Roadmap programming will be unchanged and will continue to feature monthly 7am webinars and in-person Learning Collaboratives twice a year. Save the date for the first one on March 5, 2019 at Hotel Interurban in the SeaTac area!
We hope that these changes will make it easier for those with busy schedules to access training content and peer learning opportunities. As always, we are eager to hear your feedback! For questions or comments, please contact Cindy Ferguson at cindyf@wsha.org.
