WSHA is pleased to announce an updated version of our hospital and law enforcement guide to health care-related disclosure. The guide can be found on WSHA’s website here. The guide covers situations where protected health information (PHI) disclosure to law enforcement may be permitted or required under state or federal law. This updated version includes guidance around out-of-state subpoenas for reproductive health care information, as covered by the new “shield law” the Legislature passed in 2023.
