Rural Hospital Leadership Conference speaker spotlight: WittKieffer’s Susan Snyder and Mark Andrew

June 2, 2023

WSHA and AWPHD are excited to welcome Susan M. Snyder and Mark Andrew from WittKieffer to the Rural Hospital Leadership Conference June 27-28 at Campbell’s Resort in Chelan! Together they will lead the plenary session, “Burnout in Healthcare Executives: A Call to Action for CEOs and Boards.” Register here for the Rural Hospital Leadership Conference.

WittKieffer, an executive search firm, conducted an executive burnout survey in 2022, finding that 74% of surveyed health care executives had experienced burnout over the prior six-month period. Though they expected this number to be higher given the recent challenges in health care, the percentage of burned-out executives climbed substantially since their prior survey in 2018. The overwhelming majority of them are concerned about the impact that burnout is having on their organizations. Even those who have not personally experienced burnout are understandably more conscious of the negative impact burnout is having in their organizations. Their session will explore the topic of executive burnout in greater detail.

Susan M. Snyder is a managing partner at WittKieffer. Susan is a trusted advisor and experienced business leader focused on helping executives and their teams more capably and confidently navigate the complexities of their roles and the challenges they face.
