New infectious disease precaution signage available on the WSHA Bookstore

November 2, 2023

WSHA, in collaboration with hospital infection prevention clinical expertise has updated and standardized infection disease precautionary signage. Over the last several months, the signage workgroup leveraged industry standard infection prevention guidance, including that from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). WSHA used this guidance to review, edit and create standard visual tools to update and support efforts in the reduction of health care acquired infections (HAIs).

In the near future, the workgroup will provide additional resources, including a health care signage resource book, patient and family educational tools, and multilingual options to support our state’s cultural diversity.

WSHA thanks our DOH colleagues and collaborative workgroup.

For more information or if you need additional support with obtaining the signage, contact Sandraa@WSHA.org or Carolined@WSHA.org. (Sandra Assasnik)
