JOB TITLE: Project Coordinator – Rural Opioid Response

Salary Range:$60,000.00 To 65,000.00 Annually
The Project Coordinator – Rural Opioid Response will coordinate the day-to-day activities of WSHA’s Grand Columbia opioid response project. This three-year project seeks to sustainably improve opioid and substance use disorder (SUD) prevention, treatment and recovery activities in Douglas, Grant, Lincoln, Okanogan, and Adams counties of Washington State through partnership with local health care systems and community stakeholders. The project coordinator will work directly with participating hospitals and community organizations in the region to support their work on project commitments and connect them to resources such as training opportunities, toolkits, and subject-matter experts. This person will actively identify and recruit community stakeholders to participate in relevant project activities. This person will coordinate meetings and trainings, collect and collate information about project activities and prepare written reports. This position requires the ability to work independently, strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills, and organization.
This is a three-year, grant-funded position. This person will work remotely but must be located within the service region as a significant amount of travel to project sites will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Build relationships with teams from participating hospitals through regular meetings and visits. Track status of their individual SUD projects; help connect them to relevant resources, partners and trainings as appropriate. Facilitate their ability to share their learnings across the project network.
· Identify, track and build relationships with community organizations within the region that have a stake in SUD prevention, treatment and recovery. This may include nonprofit organizations, police departments, schools, churches, treatment centers, and social services. Connect these organizations to project resources, such as toolkits and trainings, as appropriate.
· Serve as first point of contact for participating organizations and others interested in learning more about the project.
· Triage requests from participating stakeholders; respond/refer to appropriate internal or external contacts.
· Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service when interfacing with participants, partners, contracted resources, and internal resources.
· Partner with WSHA project directors to support, coordinate, and facilitate learning collaborative webinars, in-person trainings and stakeholder meetings.
· Collect and organize data and project information provided by participating hospitals and organizations.
· Create written reports of project activities.
· Develop, manage, track, and deliver project communications, including building and managing email lists, maintaining web materials, advertising educational activities, and other tasks as assigned.
· Communicate with internal and external partners to ensure project goals are on track and executed prior to deadlines.
· Other duties as assigned
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities; however, this person will coordinate work with external constituencies such as hospitals.

- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years’ experience in project/program management, coordination, or similar experience.
- Demonstrated experience in community organizing or related activities.
- Education and/or experience in healthcare, social services, behavioral health or related field.
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking or indigenous languages) a plus

This is a full-time position. This position will require at least some availability during regular business hours; a flexible schedule can be accommodated provided the candidate can attend regular meetings and check-ins within normal business hours, schedule meetings at the convenience of stakeholders, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
Position is remote with frequent local meetings/travel required; employee will need to have access to an environment suitable to computer work, including reliable internet. The employee will need to have access to a reliable vehicle. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone and in person with individuals and groups. The incumbent may carry materials/equipment weighing up to 20 lbs. on occasion. The incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form. The position requires frequent travel within Douglas, Grant, Lincoln, Okanogan, and Adams counties. Some long hours may be necessary to accommodate local travel. Overnight travel to meetings or conferences may be required once or twice a year.
