In addition to participating in courses from the WSHA & AWPHD curriculum, credit hours can be earned from a variety of sources and approval is at the discretion of WSHA staff. Credit hours are accepted from professional organizations and associations including but not limited to the American Hospital Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. Credit hours may also be counted toward certification if educators and professionals are brought onsite to educate the board at the hospital.
To earn your certification this year you must participate in and log 12 credit hours between January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022.
If you already earned your Health Care Governance certification and are working to maintain your certification, you must participate in 18 credit hours within the three year period following the year of certification.
The WSHA and AWPHD Learning Management System (LMS) is your centralized hub to access your personal learner profile and track your progress towards earning and maintaining your certification. For more information on how to create an account and how to login please email govedu@wsha.org.
