In addition to participating in courses from the WSHA curriculum, learning hours can be taken from a variety of sources and approval is up to the discretion of WSHA staff. Learning hours are accepted from professional organizations and associations including but not limited to the American Hospital Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. Learning hours may also be counted toward WSHA health care governance certification if educators and professionals are brought onsite to educate the board at the hospital.
