The Next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is October 29, 2022
Opioid misuse continues to be a serious national public health issue with nearly 71,000 drug overdose deaths in 2019 involved an opioid. Most people who misuse prescription drugs get them from family, friends and/or acquaintances. One key comprehensive strategy to reduce opioid misuse is to support national and state effort in reducing opioid misuse.
WSHA is a committed and collaborative partner in the Washington State Opioid Response Plan. Join WSHA and the Washington State Health Care Authority on Oct 12, 2022 to learn how the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day campaign works, how you can shape future campaign messaging and materials, and how organizations like yours can promote this event in your community.
