SOGI Data Collection (HB1272 monthly webinar series)

On June 22, the Department of Health filed the Rule-making Order to adopt proposed changes to chapter 246-455 WAC, Hospital patient discharge information reporting, under Washington State Register 22-13-187. One new requirement is to report detailed sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) data. During this informational webinar, the Vinny Fox, Program Coordinator LGBTQI+ Education, Swedish LGBTQI+ Program, will share define the SOGI categories and their approach for training staff to collect SOGI data. Time will be available for Q&A and attendees are encouraged to share their own approaches for training staff, capturing and reporting SOGI data.
