On June 22, the Department of Health filed the Rule-making Order to adopt proposed changes to chapter 246-455 WAC, Hospital patient discharge information reporting, under Washington State Register 22-13-187. One new requirement is to report detailed race, ethnicity and language (REaL) data. During this informational webinar, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center team will share their approach for training staff to collect REaL, tracking and improving quality data capture and lessons learned. Time will be available for Q&A and attendees are encouraged to share their own approaches for training staff, capturing and reporting REaL data.
