Language Access Services 101

This virtual 90-minute webinar presentation on language access in healthcare feature guest speaker Joana Ramos, Washington State Coalition for Language Access (WASCLA).

The presentation will provide an overview of concepts and terminology integral to language access, including basics of the legal and regulatory framework at state and federal levels, understanding of language barriers in context, the needs for language services, language access as an essential part of health care and equity work, and an explanation of language assistance services and modalities, plus relevant considerations for data collection and reporting.
