Rashad Arcement

Learn about Targeted Assessment for Prevention (TAP) Strategy I with expert speaker Rashad Arcement.

Rashad Arcement, MSPH is a public health analyst for the NHSN Methods and Analytics Team in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  In addition to his work with the TAP Strategy as the point of contact for TAP reports, Rashad is also a subject matter expert for device associated events and works closely with NHSN’s IRFs and LTACHs. Before coming to the CDC to work on healthcare-associated infections as part of the NHSN team, Rashad worked for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals’ Office of Public Health STD/HIV Program where he was responsible for managing Louisiana’s HIV incidence surveillance and HIV resistance activities. He previously worked in New Mexico at San Juan Regional Medical Hospital as the laboratory’s microbiology supervisor. Rashad’s past experiences have given him the opportunity to work closely with infection preventionists and within laboratories aimed at preventing healthcare associated infections.
