Collaborative Screening Informational Webinar
August 16, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Ariel Singer, developer of Empathic Inquiry, will provide an informational webinar to promote an upcoming training opportunity (the week of Sept 20th, 2021). Collaborative Screening is a person-centered approach to gathering information and following up with referrals in health and social service settings that elevates the perspective, expertise and autonomy of the individual being served, rather than the needs and requirements of the institution.
Collaborative Screening draws on guidance from people with lived experience of social marginalization, professional experts, and other person-centered methods, including Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, Cultural Humility, Empathic Inquiry, and the principles and practices of health equity to create relational safety, partnership and better information exchange. All are invited to attend the informational session to learn about the 3 half-day training opportunity coming up in September. Space in the training is limited and preference will be given to hospitals and health systems currently participating in the WSHA Health Equity Collaborative. Please direct questions to Abigailb@wsha.org regarding this training opportunity.
