Behavioral Health Webinar Series: Foot holds and sink holes: How to develop effective patient plans
August 18 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Most health care workers are attracted to their work because, at the most basic level, they want to help people. Developing connections and bonds with patients is obviously very important and can be a medium for helping patients get optimal health care. And, what if we could take things to the next level in order to help patients connect with their own values and resiliency (foot holds) while recognizing barriers (sink holes)? The presenter will provide guidance on how to translate these foot holds and sink holes into effective patient plans.
Participants will be able to:
- Use the Love – Work – Play interview with patients to identify common ACEs and current barriers (sink holes)
- Use the Love – Work – Play interview with patients to identify common values and resiliency factors (foot holds)
- Explain how to translate patient values into SMART goals
