Behavioral Health Webinar Series: Context clues: How to gather patients’ context to unlock deeper connection
July 21, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In medical settings, time is of the essence. There are innumerable data points that we seek to collect with the goal of providing the best care possible for our patients. However, given the complexities of the human condition in conjunction with limited resources, it can leave health care workers overburdened and overwhelmed. One antidote for these complexities and challenges is human connection. The presenter will provide a simple and easy to use framework to cut through the complexities to facilitate deeper connection (and de-escalation) between health care workers and patients.
Objectives:
- Name common social determinants of health and adverse childhood experiences
- Delineate a framework (Love – Work – Play Interview) for extracting the patients’ context (both past and present)
- Describe how to use the information gathered from the Love – Work – Play Interview to connect with the patients
Featured Speaker:
