WSHA’s Clinical Excellence team to host Emergency Department Quality Improvement Workshop: The ED DELTA Collaborative

August 9, 2024

Emergency departments (EDs) are a critical component of our healthcare system, serving as the front line of medical care for communities and offering essential care to patients during their most vulnerable moments. Emergency departments provide 24/7 access to lifesaving, time-sensitive interventions and are often the first point of contact for individuals facing acute health crises.

Join WSHA in the ED DELTA Collaborative, our most intensive and signature quality training program, focused on emergency departments. During this nine-month improvement opportunity, participating hospitals will choose one of two tracks: Workplace Violence Prevention or Caring for Patients with Substance Use Disorders.

An informational webinar will be held Aug. 21 from 9-10 a.m. and is open to any hospital that is interested or has program questions. The in-person workshop will be held Sept. 25 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Conference Center at SEA. Register by Aug. 31.

Following the workshop, teams will attend monthly virtual sessions to continue developing skills, sharing progress and learning from others doing similar work.

WSHA’s DELTA Collaborative is a clinical quality improvement workshop for multi-disciplinary hospital teams to develop skills to implement safety and quality programs, improve patient outcomes, reduce medical errors and enhance the overall quality of care. This program also supports the wellbeing of hospital staff by focusing on development of just culture, psychological safety and team resiliency.

On a personal note, as a former ED Nurse and ED leader, I am passionate about the care provided by emergency services professionals.

We look forward to your enrollment and engagement in this opportunity. Please reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,

Tina Seery
