WSHA supports CMS requirement that drug manufacturers disclose drug prices in advertisements

Dec. 17, WSHA submitted a comment letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services supporting a proposed rule requiring drug manufacturers engaging in direct-to-consumer television advertising disclose the list price of the drug. WSHA believes disclosure will facilitate discussions between patients and their clinicians regarding the cost and benefit of the advertised drug compared to existing alternatives.
