WSHA Releases its January 2019 State Regulatory Issues Update

January 16, 2019

WSHA’s Government Affairs team has published its January 2019 state regulatory update to its State Regulatory Issues webpage. Members will find a comprehensive view of state rulemaking activities that affect them. The webpage includes a link to WSHA’s Top Priority State Rules Tracker, which shows the highest-priority ongoing rulemaking activities impacting hospitals and health systems. The webpage also lists upcoming rules development workshops, as well as an announcement regarding HCA’s recently enacted rules regarding the ordering of home health services and durable medical equipment, among other regulatory activities.

The Government Affairs team is actively engaged in these activities to ensure the hospital perspective is represented and that implementation is consistent with legislation. The team has also included links to WSHA’s Top Priority State Rules Tracker—Completed Rules for 2018 and 2019, which sets out the rules that were completed in 2018 and recently completed in early 2019, along with the team’s quick take of the result. Look for the thumbs up, thumbs down or neutral marker.  (Jaclyn Greenberg, jaclyng@wsha.org )
