WSHA Releases August 2019 Regulatory Update

WSHA’s Government Affairs team has published its August 2019 update to its State Regulatory Issues webpage. Members will find a comprehensive view of state rulemaking activities that affect them. This month, the team is highlighting its work on rulemaking for balance billing, emergency medical services and trauma care, and behavioral health. It also includes updates on opioid prescribing rulemaking and rulemaking agendas from the Health Care Authority, the Department of Health and the State Board of Health. A few federal regulatory issues are also included. The webpage includes a link to WSHA’s Top Priority State Rules Tracker, which shows the highest-priority ongoing state rulemaking activities impacting hospitals and health systems.
