WSHA’s Government Affairs team has re-launched its State Regulatory Issues webpage, which provides members with a comprehensive view of state rulemaking activities that affect them. The webpage includes a link to WSHA’s Top Priority State Rules Tracker, which shows the highest-priority rulemaking activities impacting hospitals and health systems. The Government Affairs staff is actively engaged in these activities to ensure the hospital perspective is represented and that implementation is consistent with legislation.
The Rules Tracker includes a description of the rulemaking, the status of the rulemaking, WSHA’s position and contact information for the WSHA policy lead. The page also highlights the top priority issues, including charity care and opioid prescribing, as well as opportunities for members to engage, such as through rulemaking workshops, meetings and hearings. Direct links to the Washington State Register and the rulemaking sites for the individual state agencies are also provided. (Jaclyn Greenberg)
