WSHA Provides Reports, Webinar on Medicare Joint Replacement Bundles

December 16, 2015

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently finalized its rule concerning the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) program. The program will make hospitals that provide lower joint replacement surgeries in specified geographic areas financially responsible for costs related to an episode of care, including post-acute services. Through its arrangement with DataGen, WSHA will be sending its Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) analysis to member hospitals in late December.

Also available to staff of WSHA member hospitals are two identical webinars on the CJR Final Rule and Analysis, scheduled for Tuesday, January 12 and Wednesday, January 20.  Both webinars will begin 1:00 p.m. PST and will run about an hour. Pre-registration is required for these webinars.  For registration link information, please contact Jonathan Bennett at jonathanb@wsha.org or Andrew Busz at andrewb@wsha.org.

Through a special arrangement with DataGen, WSHA is able to make more detailed versions of the reports available to members at a special rates.  The reports will help hospitals better identify the source of costs related to these services.  Interested hospitals can contact Jonathan Bennett at jonathanb@wsha.org.
