Scott Ramsey, MD, PhD, is a general internist and one of the few health economists in the nation. He directs Seattle’s Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research and is a professor in the schools of medicine and pharmacy at the University of Washington.
His research portfolio and interests include patient reported outcomes, economic modeling of health care interventions, cost-effectiveness analysis, quality-of-life assessment, patterns of care, health care utilization and the economic burden of disease — a.k.a. “financial toxicity” — for patients.
Dr. Ramsey will kick-off the 2018 WSHA Annual Member Meeting by talking about the development of the Washington State Community Cancer Care Report. Learn more and register for this year’s Annual Meeting. (Ashley Beil)
