DELTA DENTAL: The 2025 rates for pooled plans will increase approximately 3.75%, which falls in line with the WHIT Trustees philosophy of providing a lower than trend increase and long-term rate stability to best serve valued members.  Benefit consistency continues to be a hallmark of the WHIT plan offerings resulting in no change in benefits. Over the last ten years, the WHIT Delta Dental plans have averaged about a 2.25% increase.

WILLAMETTE DENTAL: WHIT Willamette groups will receive a 3.0% decrease for 2025. Over the last ten years, the WHIT Willamette plans have averaged about a 1.2% increase which is significantly under market trend.

This managed dental program remains as an attractive option to manage dental costs in many areas of Washington and Oregon. It is offered as a stand-alone option, or a plan that can be offered alongside the WHIT/Delta Dental coverages.

VISION SERVICE PLAN (VSP):  For the 2025 renewal, we are proud to present a rate pass with a two-year rate guarantee on our Plan 1 & Enhanced plan.  In addition, under Plan 1 & Enhanced plan, we are adding the Light Care benefit at no additional cost! Light Care provides the frame benefit available for sunglasses to protect eyesight from the harmful impacts of the sun, or Glasses with Blue Light protection built in to help ease the long days in front of computer monitors and devises.

Beginning 1/1/2025, we will introduce two new plan offerings utilizing the “Choice” network to provide different price points and benefit enhancements.

The Standard: Basic Life/AD&D – Long Term Disability – Voluntary Life/AD&D: The Standard’s Basic Life AD&D, Voluntary Life AD&D, and Long-Term Disability plans will receive a rate pass for the 2025 plan year. The Standard is a strong contender for healthcare groups in the Northwest.  WHIT has maintained a claims fluctuation reserve (CFR) with the carrier which provides additional rate relief at quoting and renewal.

Employee Assistance Plan (EAP): This 5-visit, per issue model, through First Choice Health, is offered to all WHIT participating groups at a Trust subsidized rate. Since 2024, the EAP has remained subsidized at a rate change of $0.25 PEPM so the final billed rate to WHIT members is $1.25 PEPM.  For non-WHIT members, the rate is passed through at $1.50 PEPM.  Monthly eligibility will be transmitted to First Choice on an employer level so employees can identify as their specific employer when seeking EAP services.
