Cheryl Strange has been named the new CEO of Western State Hospital. Cheryl is an expert in mental health and health care issues, and she will begin in her new role April 25. She was previously the assistant director for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services Mental Health Division from 2006 to 2008, where she managed the state public mental health system, including three state hospitals and community outpatient mental health services. PeaceHealth has named Carol Aaron as its new chief administrative officer (CAO). The CAO position was newly created, and Carol will lead an innovative effort to align and fully integrate PeaceHealth’s internal and external engagement efforts. She has more than 30 years of experience in human resources and at Catholic health ministries, and before joining PeaceHealth in 2010, she spent 10 years with St. Joseph Health System, serving in a variety of roles including senior vice president, where she led employee engagement for 24,000 caregivers across 14 hospitals.
