Webinar discussion Feb. 23 on the Health Care Authority’s Link4Health Initiative

February 3, 2016

WSHA is hosting webinar from 12-1 pm Feb. 23 to provide basic information and answer questions on Link4Health: the state’s effort to advance electronic exchange of clinical records and transform health care. This new program, sponsored by the Health Care Authority, is intended to provide real-time information exchange among providers caring for Medicaid patients. The state has partnered with OneHealthPort, the state-designated health information exchange, on this initiative.

Link4Health should support risk-based contracting approaches and more integrated provision of care. The Clinical Data Repository program, the first initiative under Link4Health, allows for easier exchange of clinical information. As of Feb. 1, 2017, the state will require provider organizations that contract with Medicaid-managed care plans and have a certified EHR to participate in the program. A few hospitals have already signed up to pilot-test the Clinical Data Repository program.

The webcast speakers will be Melodie Olsen, state health IT manager at the Washington State Health Care Authority; and Rick Rubin, CEO of OneHealthPort. This webinar is intended to provide you with basic information on the program, and address questions about how you may be able to use this information to support better care in your facilities.
