Please join us at noon October 25 for an exploration of the Interim Pharmaceutical Waste Policy presented by Jenny Yoo, Toxics Reduction Engineer in the Department of Ecology’s Northwest Regional Office. Participants will:
- Learn to maximize benefits, including longer accumulation times and accumulating P-listed and WT01 waste without becoming large quantity generators;
- Understand why small quantity generators may not want to manage waste under the IPWP; and
- Learn the best ways to segregate waste pharmaceuticals for compatibility and safe storage, and to help keep your facility inspection ready.

Jenny Yoo is a toxics reduction engineer with the Department of Ecology’s Hazardous Waste and Toxics Reduction Program. She has been providing non-enforcement technical assistance for more than 17 years. She works with health care facilities and was a key team member on the development of the Department of Ecology’s Interim Pharmaceutical Waste Policy. (Beth Zborowski)
